Rural and farming

Case Study

Challenge.

Rural and farming

The requirement was to improve available bandwidth on a working farm with several high end holiday cottages where guests saw having internet access as a crucial part of their choice of where to stay as well as new cloud managed Electric Vehicle charging points having been recently installed needing connectivity.  Existing BT fixed line speeds were 1Mbps down and 0.5Mbps at its best! (awful).  No existing cables or ducting were in place between the main farmhouse/offices out to the cottages.

Solution.

A single LTE (4G) router with externally mounted antenna and mast mounted outdoor high powered AP were installed centrally along with multiple meshed (uncabled) wireless access points located in each of the holiday cottages.

Result.

We also provide solutions which are permanent and can pick a combination of hardware to suit the requirement.  In this case the result was an uplift to 80Mbps down and 20Mbps up and a spread signal of 15Mbps down and 8Mbps up in each of the cottages allowing guests to enjoy good internet access and for the EV units to be cloud managed by the Mornacott estate.

Yep, this sounds just like what I need
